i remember at a district convention in yankee stadium back in the 80's where the district overseer mentioned the possibility of one day being able to share the universe "with other creations of jehovah" as he put it.
it definitely got everyone's attention because he even went so far as to say that perhaps ufos are a creation of jehovah, but we haven't been told of their purpose.
when i heard that i nearly choked on my jw-hoagie.

the tour is just over 1/2 way, and he is only 21 seconds ahead.
tomorrow is the individual time trial.
i think that will be the determining factor.
Tyler Hamilton won stage 16! The double fractured collarbone didn't seem to stop him. I wonder how he would have done this year if he was at 100%?

was dr kelly - vince fostered?
this time all those conspiracy nuts started their swim from the other side of the pond.
we all know that the english are surely above intrigue and sinister deeds, just ask roberto calvi, you know "god's banker", as he hung from blackfriars bridge.
Where is the creativity?
They just don't make a conspiracy like they used to.

Now, if it wasn't suicide, then that's a completely different story.
Here's a completely different story:

Looks like the old Lance is back. Give him a little adversity (like a needless crash) and he rises to the occasion. I'd say it's a safe bet that Vinokourov is no longer a contender.
I agree that the next ITT will determine the winner.
It's a 2 man race now.

Hi Search,
Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

A precisley machined and shaped cube of metal was found in the centre of a block of coal in Austria in 1885 and based on the coal stem in must have been made 300,000 years ago.!The pre-historic bones of animals have been found with bullets embedded in them!
Hi Search,
Do you have any links to these two quoted statements? I've never heard this before, and I would like to read up on it. I have heard about the lead-acid battery found in the ancient ruins of Greece (I think it was Greece), and the differential clock mechanism found in some other ancient ruins.
Thanks

Hi Hamas,
I think he has mellowed and relies on tactics more than he ever did. I don't think he's losing it at all.
I just read an interview with Lance after todays race. Here is an interesting quote:
"It's obvious I'm not riding like I have in the past," Armstrong added. "I can't actually say why. But when you ride the climb to Alpe d'Huez four minutes slower than the last time, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out something is not clicking."
I hope he can win number 5, but if I were a betting man, I think I would start putting my money on Alexander Vinokourav. Notice what he said:
"I'm very satisfied with today but tomorrow we'll try to do something else. The dream of wearing the yellow jersey is still alive. I know I'm riding well and can do even better," he said.
This one is going to be a nail-biter right to the end.

Stage 14 is just completing right now, and it looks like Lance will keep the yellow jersey at least one more day. He didn't win the stage, but he was 1min 23 seconds behind the winner Simoni. The bad news for Lance is that Vinokourov finished 41 seconds behind the winner, or 42 seconds ahead of Lance. Ullrich was not even in the top 10. Iban Mayo also gained on Armstrong.
This is going to be close one all the way to Paris.
